CT Planning

If you saw “Teeth In An Hour” on Good Morning America than you are familiar with one of the most significant technological advances in dentistry. Dr. Jones is one of only a few hundred dentists who use CAT scan technology to precisely plan implant surgery to insure greater success.

The information from a dental CT is converted into a software program (Simplant by Materialise) that allows the prosthodontist to do virtual computer surgery. The finished treatment determines the ideal implant location. After careful study, CAD/CAM technology is used to produce an accurate guide and model of the post surgical mouth. This allows for a prosthesis to be made before surgery and immediately placed at the time that implants are placed.
